POP RnD

Even today, many areas in women’s health are still considered as tabu. About 50% of women suffer from socially impaired urinary incontinence and/or Pelvic organ prolapse (POP). This occurs when tissue and muscles can no longer support the pelvic organs and they drop down. The pelvic organs include the vagina, uterus, bladder, urethra, and rectum.

Since 2017, together with Prof. Dr. Birgit Arabin I am developing and designing new pessaries (vaginal devices) to prevent and treat POP. I developed for Dr. Arabin GmbH new process for production of individual pessaries using 3D printing and research new technologies of ultrasound 3D scanning.
