Wind Messaging System (WMS) is an alternative to the existing digital communication systems we use daily. When we write an SMS, tweet, or post something, it is usually a fast and impulsive act. We write before we think. The WMS forces us to carefully choose the words and think about the message that we want to send. The message can be sent to personal recipient or for the public.

The WMS was invented by Yair Kira and Roberto Bascone and was shown in cooperation with Maker Lab in DMY International Design Festival in Berlin. It was also used to support „Big Jump Challenge“ demand from the german government for keeping water sources clean. In 2014 it was chosen for the 7th international wind art fair in Kassel.
